On behalf of Lotus Asset Management, I am deeply honoured to be named “Economist of the Year 2025” by Asian Private Banker 8th China Wealth Reward. Receiving this distinction for the third time from such a globally respected institution is both a great privilege and a profound reminder of the responsibility that comes with it. Economic and market research is like walking on thin ice: every correct call is the result of tireless inquiry and the constant feedback that markets provide.

The resilience of China’s economy, and the insights I have gained as a researcher in this vast and dynamic market, have been forged through repeated challenges and tests. Today’s recognition is a footnote to the past, but more importantly, it is the starting point for a new journey. I will continue to approach the market with humility and respect, to search for signals amid the noise, to hold fast to common sense amid change, and to move forward steadily with all of you in the tide of our times.
